Growing Leaders

• Initiative created in 2015 to increase number of African American young women who successfully transition from high school to college and/or the workforce by focusing on the soft skills needed for sustained achievement • Since inception, the program has had nearly 80 participants; the program provides support to the teen-aged girls and their families • Graduating seniors receive laptop computers and once they enroll in college, the chapter contributes $1,000 to the school to be applied toward student fees
