Healthy Eating: • Collaboration with Cleveland Clinic’s Culinary Medicine Insti tute and presenters Dr. Michael Roizen and Executive Chef Jim Perko and Burten, Bell, Carr community development corporation for two virtual healthy cooking demonstrations and discussions about food choices with presenters
• Conversations with . . . : Dr. Jackson Wright, Director, Clinical Hypertension Program at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, and nationally renowned physi cian-researcher experienced in the clinical pharmacology of antihypertensive and cholesterol-lowering agents, espe cially in minority populations, talked about the prevention of chronic kidney disease and how to slow its progression. He answered Central neighborhood residents’ questions at the program, which was live-streamed via Facebook and You Tube. • NBA All-Star Weekend: Chapter sponsorship of Denzel Ward’s Make Them Know Your Name Foundation’s event. Heir-o-Link and Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward’s fitness booth provided a showcase for CKD community education.
