Warner Girls’ Leadership Academy, Cleveland Metropolitan School District • Partnership launched in 2008 focused on leadership development and academic enrichment • In collaboration with the Warner faculty and parents, offered educational experiences that empowered Warner girls to discover their voices and become effective leaders • As part of the commitment to Warner, Western Reserve (OH) Chapter members: ○ Led Saturday Academy, a tutoring program to prepare students for the Ohio Achievement Assessment ○ Planned and hosted monthly Warner Girls’ Leadership Luncheons that recognized girls nominated by their teachers for exhibiting Warner leadership traits ○ Served as positive role models for other students and achieving academic excellence ○ At the 2011 Arch Day ceremony, the chapter presented a $1,000 gift to establish the Western Reserve Chapter Instructional Resource Collection in honor of Warner’s first head of school, Lesley Jones Sessler ○ In 2012, based on faculty and parental feedback, refined program objectives to increase family understanding about girls’ physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development and provide tools for global leadership through parent summits. ○ In 2013, chapter commissioned a mural by Cleveland Artist, Anna Arnold, to depict the chapter’s five-year partnership with the school
